"Why Grand Master Music?"

When I launched what is today known as Grand Master Music in 2009 I had the power to grant myself any title I chose. I could call myself "Owner", "Label manager", "President", "Supreme Commander", whatever... I wanted to be "Grand Master". It has a nice ring to it and I doubt any other company would have provided me with such a fancy title.

Once this important question had been settled it seemed only natural to name the company "Grand Master Music".

I have been active in the music scene for many years. As a musician I am or have been active in bands such as Yggdrasil, Dibbukim, Nae'blis and Folkearth. For a few years I was handling sales for Regain Records, and before that I ran the short-lived record label Daydream Nightmares Productions.

I have also done some work in various recording studios over the years, and nowadays I offer mixing and mastering services through my own studio, aptly named Grand Master Audio.

So far Grand Master Music's activities have been focused on bands where I have been involved personally in some way, and I do not expect this to change in the near future.
